The Full Story

About Me

Hello Everyone! I'm McKenzie, a lawyer, pilates fanatic, and pageant lover. I've lived in many different places, but I am proud to have called Baton Rouge home for the last seven years. My unique experiences have collectively led me to this moment - pursuing the ultimate dream of representing Louisiana in the Miss America Opportunity, and as our state's Solicitor General.

From Humble Beginnings

I was born in a small town called Humble, TX. Being from a little town in Texas inspired me to pursue big dreams outside of my familiar bubble. I was fortunate to find my passion in the arts and for advocacy throughout my formative years. These experiences in my little hometown laid the foundation for my participation in the Miss America Organization.

Geaux Tigers

I'm a proud alum of Louisiana State University. I loved my time at LSU so much that I decided to stay on the same campus for an extra three years to pursue my law degree! From winning a national football championship in 2019, to six more national championships during my time at LSU, attending the greatest university in the south has been nothing short of amazing. I bleed purple and gold and can be found on rivalry weekends as the only person in my family cheering for the Tigers.

When I Grow Up . . .

Well, I am grown up. But, I am looking forward to passing the Uniform Bar Exam and becoming a licensed attorney in 39 states! Like most young girls in the early 2000s, I was inspired by Elle Woods to go to law school and become a poised, confident woman in life and in the courtroom. Now, I am working as in-house counsel in one of the most exciting industries - healthcare! I am equally passionate about healthcare and appellate law. So, while I am still pursuing my dream of being like Louisiana's version of Elizabeth Prelogar, I am spending every day working the legal landscape of

Louisiana's healthcare industry.
